FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know about SaveMyTrade.

Getting Started
What is SaveMyTrade? +

SaveMyTrade (SMT) is a Chrome extension that protects you from emotional trading on TradingView. It monitors your open positions in real-time and enforces rules you set — like daily loss limits, loss streak cooldowns, overtrading warnings, and session time reminders. Think of it as a seatbelt for your trading account.

How do I install it? +

Create an account on our website, then download the Chrome extension from the Dashboard. Go to chrome://extensions, enable Developer Mode, and click "Load unpacked" to install the extension folder. Once installed, open TradingView and you'll see the SMT HUD appear on your chart.

What brokers/platforms does it work with? +

SaveMyTrade works with any broker connected to TradingView — including Tradovate, AMP Futures, Binance, Bybit, and TradingView Paper Trading. If you can see your P&L in TradingView's bottom trading panel, SMT can read it.

Does it work with crypto? +

Yes. SMT works with both futures (NQ, ES, MNQ, MES) and crypto (BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, etc.) on TradingView. The extension reads P&L data from the bottom trading panel, which is the same for all instruments.

How It Works
Does SMT actually block me from trading? +

Yes. When you hit your daily loss limit, SMT disables the Buy/Sell buttons on TradingView and puts a full-screen overlay on your chart. When you trigger the revenge trading cooldown, the overlay stays until the timer runs out — you literally cannot click through it. That's the point.

Can I override the lockout? +

No. The daily loss lockout lasts until your trading day resets. The cooldown timer must complete before you can dismiss it. You set these rules when you were thinking clearly — SMT makes sure your future emotional self can't undo them. That's the whole point.

Do I need the trading panel open? +

Yes. SMT reads your P&L from TradingView's bottom trading panel (the one that shows your positions). Keep it open while trading. If it's closed, the HUD will show "Open trading panel ↓" as a reminder.

What happens if I refresh the page? +

Your session persists. Trade count, P&L, loss streak, and any active lockouts or cooldowns are saved and restored when you refresh or reopen TradingView. Everything resets automatically at your configured trading day reset time.

Rules & Configuration
What rules can I configure? +

Five core rules: (1) Daily Loss Limit — locks you out when session losses hit your limit. (2) Revenge Trading — forces a timed cooldown after consecutive losses. (3) Overtrading — persistent warning banner after N trades. (4) Session Duration — break reminder after X hours. (5) Cooldown Duration — how long the "Stop. Breathe. Think." screen holds you.

Where do I configure my rules? +

In the Dashboard on our website. Configure your rules, click Save, and they sync to the extension automatically. You can also make quick changes from the extension popup's "Rules" tab directly in TradingView.

When does the session reset? +

Your trading day resets at the time you configure in the Dashboard under "Session Reset Hours." All counters (P&L, trade count, loss streak, lockouts) reset to zero at that time. Default is midnight local time.

Pricing & Billing
How much does it cost? +

$29/month after a 7-day free trial. No tiers, no feature limits. Every rule is available from day one. For context: one failed $150 prop firm evaluation = 5 months of SaveMyTrade.

Can I cancel anytime? +

Yes. Cancel from your Dashboard at any time. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. No questions asked, no cancellation fees.

Is there a refund policy? +

If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of any billing charge and we'll refund it. No hoops, no forms — just email support@savemytrade.com.

Security & Privacy
Does SMT have access to my broker account? +

No. SMT only reads the TradingView webpage. It cannot access your broker login, place trades on your behalf, withdraw funds, or see your account balance. It reads only what's visible on the TradingView interface — specifically your open position P&L and position count.

Is my trading data stored anywhere? +

Session data (trade count, P&L, loss streak) is stored locally in your browser only. It never leaves your device. Your rule configurations are synced via Chrome's built-in encrypted sync. We never see your actual trades or positions. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
